With Malia Manuel on one mother of a roll recently (in addition to winning the Pantin Classic Pro last week, she’s just taken the Billabong Azores Island Pro – double whammy!!) it’s no surprise that the 18 year old progressive shredder from Hawaii has just qualified for the ASP world 2012. Joining Malia next year will be young guns Lakey Peterson (20), Justine Dupont (20) and Sage Erikson (16), for what makes for a grom-heavy lineup.
Malia was clearly stoked with her successive victories, claiming “it feels surreal right now. I had struggled at the beginning of the year and then come to Europe and wind two events in-a-row is just extraordinary. I don’t know what to say. I am so happy we had waves and it was a great final. To win back-to-back feels really good!”. Feast your eyes over the lineup for the world tour next year:
