Forget Sundance! This June it’s all about the 6th annual Surfilm Festibal and Surfilm Festibalia in Donostia San Sabastian, Spain.

Taking place from 12-15 June, the event will include film screenings at the Teatro Principal Theatre; an amateur short film contest complete with loads of prizes; the all important environment day; and the first ever Surfilm Festibalia on Friday and Saturday – a hot dance music festival held at the Casa de Cultura in Jareño, Eguia.

Surfilm Festibalia will include performances from Discípulos de Dionisios, Los Coronas, and Los Tiki Phantoms, and Surflim Festibalia has confirmed the screening of The Smiling Surfing documentary, which depicts the story of a group of surfers who used surfing to brighten the lives of orphans in India.

Better get that plane ticket booked…
