Sweden’s Mimmi Sandström wins O’Neill Evolution Slopestyle Quali

Elena Könz sending herself to 4th place

After the halfpipe qualification on Monday, it was time for the girls to hit the evolutionary slopestyle course at the O’Neill Evolution 2011 yesterday. Standing tallest on the podium was Sweden’s Mimmi Sandström, who impressed with a huge 180 melon.

The rest of the 9 spots to meet the invited riders in the semi finals were taken by Jordie Karlinski (USA), Helene Olafson (NOR), Elena Könz (SUI), Isabel Derungs (SUI), Diana Sadlowski (POL), Aimee Fuller (GBR), Diana Augustinová (CZE) and Danika Duffy (USA).

The women’s halfpipe seminfinals will follow after the men’s halfpipe qualifications today, so make sure to check back later for more news
