The slopestyle was done and dusted last Sunday, with the mighty Team GB’s Jenny Jones scoring a bronze, Enni Rukajarvi from Finland the silver and California favourite Jamie Anderson taking home the gold. All three were former Cooler cover stars don’t you know.
Today the much-maligned slushpipe, I mean, halfpipe hosts the women. The qualifying went down this morning with former cover star and proper Cooler favourite Torah Bright, the reigning Olympic champ qualifying automatically for the final, alongside the event favourite and 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics winner Kelly Clark, the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics winner Hannah Teter, both from the US, Queralt Castellet from Spain, plus Cai Xuetong from China and Sophie Rodriguez from France.
The top six riders from the semi finals, which include another Cooler favourite and former cover star Sarka Pancochova, who spectacularly smashed her helmet in two after a crash in Sunday’s slopestyle final, will join the above riders in the final at 5.30 GMT.
Follow our live blog below, starting with the semi final action from 3pm GMT
Semi final done! Gutted to say Sarka Pancochova went out. Kaitlyn Farrington joined her Team USA buddies, along with Liu Jiayu and Li Shuang from China even though as Whitelines pointed out they rode exactly the same runs!
From 5.30pm UK Time following the HALFPIPE WOMEN’S FINAL, BOY ARE WE EXCITED!!
