Love Life Been A Bit Sh**ty Recently? Turns Out The Universe Might Just Be Messing With You…

If dating feels like one disaster after the next right now, you should probably blame the planets. Seriously.

Has anyone’s love life been a little bit shitty recently?

We’re not talking about devastating experiences and life changes, rather just little annoyances in the world of love and dating. Tinder dates haven’t showed up, old boyfriends have come out of the woodwork, fun first dates have led to disastrous second ones…  all the annoying stuff that can just make you feel a bit peeved.

If any of this is ringing true and your dating experiences have been full of faux pas and ‘headdesk’ moments over the last few weeks, we have some interesting news.

It’s probably not you, it’s just the universe messing up your dates.

Since the fourth of March the planet Venus has been in retrograde. In universe terms – no biggie, in astrological terms – holy moly, stuff is going down.

When a planet is in retrograde, it literally means that it’s travelling backwards and in astrology that’s pretty bad news. As Venus is the ruler of love and the heart, all the bad vibes that this retrograde is causing are going right towards your love life and making that cool guy from the bakery go cold on you for no reason.

The effect of this retrograde lasts 42 days and can mean anything from a bad date, to the end of a serious relationship, but do not fear – the last day is on April 15th, so we are nearing the end.

What to do till then? As far as we can tell, there’s not much you can do to protect yourself from the effects of this astrological mood swing and there’s certainly no way to avoid it, so our advice is as follows.

Get yourself off Tinder, out with your best mates and stop thinking about it.

If it really is the universe that’s f**cking everything up, after April 15th cool bakery guy will be just around the corner. If this is all rubbish however and he’s actually just a waste of space, you’re probably better of without him anyway!
