Climate change and animal extinction are two of the biggest threats our environment faces today.

The natural world is declining at a terrifying rate. The wildlife trade is second only to the drug market trade in the world – that just shows how much money can be made from killing and selling endangered species.

Now a new film called Racing Extinction is being released to raise greater awareness of the imminent danger our planet is in.

It is spearheaded by Oscar winning director Louie Psihoyos, who made the shocking documentary The Cove about the illegal dolphin show trade in Japan.

The film looks unbelievably good – and terrifying at the same time.

Often we feel like one person can’t make a difference. “There’s so many people that sit back and say we’re screwed” as the trailer says.

But actually that one person – that’s where movements are started. Be the change you want to see in the world, as the old adage goes.

These environmental catastrophes aren’t something that is going to happen in 20 or 50 years time – it’s happening right now.
