What did you do when you woke up this morning? Maybe you clambered onto the train with thousands of other commuters, bustled down a busy street or sat in traffic for twenty minutes.
At the Surf Office, mornings are a little… different.
The Surf Office is a co-working space located within five minutes walk of the beach. They’ve got two offices – one in Los Angeles and one in Gran Canaria.
The idea is anyone who freelances or can work remotely book a room in the Surf Office and work with others.
You can do a yoga class before work and go for a surf afterwards
It can get lonely working alone from home. You start doing weird things like talking to the cat or not showering for days on end.
At the Surf Office, you can do a dawn yoga class before work, go for a short hike at lunch and a surf after work.
The idea is you break up the monotony of a normal working day with fun, outdoor activities.
It’s got a large communal work area with Skype conference rooms, a yoga room and surfboard storage room because there’s a friendly reef break just 2 minutes walk away.
You can grab food from the organic supermarket down the road, head to the local brewery or just grab a drink in the surf house with your co-workers.
Then crash into your own private bedroom before starting the day again tomorrow. It’s kind of like combining summer camp with work.
What a rad idea! Find out more about The Surf Office here.
