There’s a kind of simple logic to putting these two passions and groups of people together.

They both collect, build and treasure. They both have a passion for the old and vintage models. Most of all they both appreciate the chance to get out and ride.

A blend of mechanics, vintage culture, surfing, art, and music, the 2015 festival looked like a sell out, with bike enthusiasts from all over the world gathering.

“Wheels & Waves hosted a vast range of styles and disciplines in motorcycle design, styling, building, riding and fun racing” says the website.

“A new wave scene converge to meet and share their common passion. But moreover, a festival where the public gets to discover the inside-outs of this new “RIDE” culture that we see growing internationally.”

Last year’s surf contest was planned for La Milady  beach in the early morning.

The restrictions to enter the first heats were only that contestants were between the ages of 18-75 and riding an ‘old school’ shaped board.

This years application hasn’t been released yet, but should be added to the festival site soon.

Details for 2016 are on their way and the festival promises that its going to be bigger and in a better location than ever before!

Information on hotels and camping should be released soon, along with dates and the programme.
