My Life In Focus: Aimee Fuller Gives Us The Scoop Behind Her Best Instagram Shots…

The awesome British snowboarder gives us a backstage info on some of her most famous photos

Aimee Fuller lives an amazing life. As an Olympian, a British Champion and one of the best snowboarders’s in the UK, the 25 year old Londoner spends much of her life shredding mountains and travelling the world.

Aimee has one of our favourite Instagram accounts to have a stalk through, so we decided to find out a bit more about some our favourite images from her feed.

From winning comps, to morning runs and even aerial yoga, here’s a behind the scenes look at one of our favourite athletes…

Aimee: ” The ladies in the picture are my friend Saskia Tidey GB Olympic Sailor. Kathryn Fielding aka boss (yoga teacher) and Heloise Nangle, she runs the show and will kick your arse in her Spin Class!”

“I have never done much Acro yoga, but after a yoga class it’s always mega rewarding to join forces and see what crazy positions we can get into! It keeps it fun and fresh!”

“Yoga is something I have recently started and I find it compliments my flexibility on my board and all around recovery after a day on the hill! I started my winter season with the aim to do it 2 times a week and have found I do it most mornings before I ride! It’s the perfect way to wake up and kick start your day before you hit the mountain.”

Aimee: “I normally train three times a week in the gym doing snowboard specific weights, focusing on explosive strength, core stability and balance.

“I love to play around with Yoga too and run or get out on the bike at least two times a week as well! I normally train five out of seven days, then do one day of ‘fun sport’ such as a mega cycle mission and then have one down day!”

Aimee: “This was taken in Australia, post riding. A jog down by the lake in the Snowy Mountains is a perfect way to stretch out the legs after a long day on the hill.”

“I love running, it’s a mega way for me to zone out and tune into what I want to achieve on my snowboard the following day.”

Aimee: “This video sums up my favourite type of snowboarding, a backside rodeo gives you a huge sense of freedom when you leave the take off, you feel weightless.”

“Here I was filming for next season’s Roxy campaign at Absolut Park in Flachauwinkl, Austria! They have the best jumps in Europe.”

Aimee: “THIS Is the Olympic Big Air Venue in South Korea, we went there for the test event in November.”

“The jump is huge, and it was so cold on the 2nd day the lift up to the jump (scaffolding) froze and we got stuck in it!”

Aimee: “This was the run that qualified me in 2nd place straight through to the Finals of the last World Cup of the season in the Czech Republic.”

“I love the sense of accomplishment when you land a run under pressure in a comp. There is not better feeling.”
