These Awesome Mums Prove You’re Never Too Old To Start Skateboarding

They are all over fifty - and they rip harder than you...

Age is just a number. No one proves that more so than these four radical women.

They are all mums over the age of 50 who only took up skateboarding a few years ago.

Barbara Odanaka, a journalist and author, took up skating when she was 10 years old but hadn’t touched her board in years – until after she became a mum.

It wasn’t until a therapist said to her, “Think about something you used to do before you became a mum, something that gave you great joy. You need to do it every day for ten minutes.”

“It took me less than a second. I just said ‘skateboarding’,” she says.

This video is totally worth a watch, particularly if you’re looking for some inspiration today.
