Our O’Neill ambassadors – get the lowdown on the exciting new project here – are going to introduce themselves in the next few weeks, today is all about super talented illustrator Suzi Kemp.
Hi, I’m Suzi. I live in London with two of my best pals. I work as an illustrator, so most days you will find me working here at my desk. My studio space is super busy, I like to fill up all the space I can with pictures, work and objects. It might not be easy to keep tidy, but at least I am never bored!
I’ve been lucky enough to work with some exciting clients, including designing a skateboard for Heroin Skateboards, a collection of t-shirts for Californian label Altamont, and a handpainted shell shirt for Brutus Trimfit.
I’m looking forward to sharing the illustrations, paintings and designs that I’m working on each month. This month spring is in the air so I’ve been drawing lots of colourful flowers.
Speaking of flowers, I’ll also take some photos of my inner-city roof garden, as it (hopefully) grows into the perfect oasis hang-out for Summer.
I like to take time out during the week for a mini adventure, it keeps my brain happy and makes the most of living in the city. Some of my favorite places to explore are the woods at Hampstead Heath, the general stores in Chinatown, and walking along the banks of the River Thames. It’s the closest I can get to a beach!
I also love playing the drums, punk is best because its loud and fast. I also like to play football with my friends. Here’s us after a muddy kick-about.
I’m already having loads of fun being involved in the Cooler X O’Neill project – I’ve met some very rad and talented girls, and seeing O’Neill’s summery collection has made me super excited for beach holidays, road trips and hanging out in the city!
