The ocean is an awesome place, but it is seriously hard to capture the beauty of a wave in art-form. These Californian artists have come pretty much as close as it gets.

Paul DeSomma and Marsha Blaker met own Pilchuck Glass School in 1989 and went on to create these amazing glass vases, shaped like waves.

Marsha draws her inspiration from colours and textures found in marine environments, while Paul has a more minimalist free-hand approach to glass sculpting, according to Earth Porn.

These beautiful waves are exhibited in a glass gallery called Kela’s in Kauai, Hawaii.
