When House of Vans, London opened back in August, our fashion editor Britta Burger went to the first night party. But instead of frothing over Public Enemy, Dinosaur Jr, Roots Manuva and Savages, who all played that night, or any of the many Vans pros in attendance, including the legends Tony Alva and Geoff Rowley, plus our favourite girl rippers Cheryl Maas, Lee Ann Curren and Aimee Fuller, she found herself drooling over the 3000 sq metre concrete space. “This would be a perfect place to shoot,” she said.

Three months later and she got her wish – styling and photographing this exclusive Cooler X Vans shoot at House of Vans, to showcase the Vans Women’s Holiday Collection 2014 aka all we want for Christmas.

If you haven’t been to House of Vans yet you seriously should. It’s an awesome space of neon lights and rugged Americana vibes, including an art gallery, cinema, live music venue, café, bars, and of course the skater-designed concrete bowl, mini ramp and street course. If you haven’t skated before, or you’re worried you’ll be wobbly, don’t worry they do free lessons. They also do free gigs, creative workshops and all manner of other rad stuff in this underground alternative wonderland.
