Women’s skateboarding clothing can be seriously hard to find. Most skate clothing is unisex - granted - there's plenty of stuff out there for men, but what about skate clothing brands for women?
Whether you’re looking for women’s skateboarding pants, women’s skateboarding shoes or women's skateboarding helmets, there are brands that make clothing specifically for female skaters. You just have to know where to find them.
We’ve selected some of the best women’s skateboarding clothes brands - from big names like Vans to small independent companies like RIPNDIP and Proper Gnar.

Women's Skateboarding Clothing Brands
If you’re looking for a big brand with a decent women’s skateboarding clothing line, then look no further than Vans.
Skateboarding is at the core of this iconic brand since its birth in the 1960s. Founder Paul Van Doren original sneakers had extra-thick rubber soles which proved perfect for male and female skaters. Extra heel support and padded backs were added to the shoes, thanks to help from local Californian skater Stacey Peralta.
Flash forward to modern day, we are still huge fans of their classic checkerboard slip-on shoes as well as their women’s tanks and t-shirt range with ace graphics.
Lizzie Armanto is sponsored by Vans which is awesome, but she’s the only pro female skater on the Vans skate team at the moment. Here’s hoping we see more in the future!
Meow Skateboards isn’t technically a female skate brand, but it just happens that their entire team are pro female skateboarders.
They started the company because very few of the top female skateboarders in the world had board sponsors. "Hopefully someday there won't be a need for a company like this, but until then we will keep doing what we can," as it says on their website.
Meow are known for designing rad decks and sweet graphic shirts. Pick up one of their tees or tanks and know that you are supporting a brand that is giving female skateboarding the exposure it really deserves.
Back in the 90s, it was Elissa that cultivated the classic tee and baggy pants look for female skateboarders. We knew that only good things would come from Gnarhunters.
With both a skate and surf angle, Elissa and her team have produced everything from beanies and tees to jackets and surfboard leashes. Their designs are minimalist yet on trend made from high quality materials. Guaranteed to be the first tee you grab from your bedroom floor when you're heading to the skate park.
Girl Skate UK
Girl Skate UK started as a blog that has grown into an awesome skate community for female skateboarders across Britain, documenting everything from girls skate nights to skate art.
Their ethos is all about raising the profile of female skateboarding in the UK and encouraging more girls to get skating.
Check out their online shop with their own women’s skateboarding clothing line, including super cool screen-printed tees and other accessories. Ladies, we salute you.
Proper Gnar is all about “women, minorities, and radness". Based in Ohio, USA, founder Latosha Stone wanted to create a women’s skateboarding clothes brand that could be worn anywhere - from the skate park to a night out with your mates.
Proper Gnar designs are edgy and eccentric. Think bold statement pieces with hand-drawn graphics. Watch this space! There are plenty more awesome things to come from this female skate brand.
RIPNDIP was started by a group of mates at skate camp in Florida who wanted decent threads to wear to their next competition. The name comes from RIP (as in ripping a skate spot) and DIP (leave before the police arrive).
While the founder is male, RIPNDIP clothing is suited to both male and female skaters. It’s not a brand that’s hard to spot - just look for the signature cat graphic. Check out their unisex t-shirts and ribbed beanies.
“We skate, we party, we live life to have fun" is the Enjoi motto - and we like it. This skateboarding brand emerged out of Los Angeles, USA with one of the most recognisable logos out there.
Enjoi is all about fun - their skateboarding clothing is never without a pinch of humour. You tell serious amounts of hard work go into everything these guys do. Check out their decks and classic tees with excellent graphics and slogans as always.
We are stoked that Samarria Brevard is on their skate team, we just hope they include more female skaters soon.
