This summer we published Anastasia Ashley’s twerking surf warm up dance video and asked whether surfer girls were quick becoming the Hooters waitresses of the sea? We were exaggerating of course but seen in the context of the teenage girls daubing slutty slogans on their bodies at the US Open the week before and the disrespectful filth-chat littering Alana Blanchard’s Instagram feed it didn’t seem such a massive stretch.

Understandably Anastasia wasn’t that impressed and sent an email telling us so. We offered her the chance to do an interview and tell her side of the story but she declined though she did speak to men’s mag GQ, whose third most popular story today is “Golden Globes: The Most Unforgettable Breasts in Film History” hmmm…

Anyway this clip by Airwalk of her surfing is by far the best response to the whole affair. Sure it has some ass shots but it also has some sweet waveriding too, so huzzah for that.
