The girls longboard competition Swatch Girls Pro China 2012 continued in Wanning and saw quite some drama on day 2 of the event, completing Rounds 2 and 3.
Despite the South China Sea monsoon swell being on something of a sabbatical, there was little shortage of deftness of skill and technique from the finest female longboard surfers in the world. Defending event champion Chelsea Williams nailed the highest score of the day for the second day running with a 8.25, giving the modest left hand walls of Riyuewan Bay a display of her fast footwork and tight board skills. With the forecast promising precious little for the coming days, the decision was made by the girls themselves to make the best of what was breaking at the beach today.
