Desiree Melancon is straight-up awesome, as her recently released part from Think Thank’s Almanac so adequately demonstrates. We could go on for hours about how great we think she is, but at risk of sounding a bit weird… we’ll condense it into list form instead.

1. She works super hard and gets great shots, as you can see from this sweet edit. She’s got balls and goes just as big as her male counterparts and everyone’s got mad respect for her because of it.

2. She’s always having an awesome time, as you can also see from this edit, and there’s nothing we love more than seeing girls have an awesome time while they’re throwing down. After all, there’s no better way to wind down from a hard day on the streets than to chug a bag of red wine. And there’s not better way to get warm than by twerking up against a van.

4. She gets down in the pow AND in the streets. She’s not just a one trick pony; check out that massive front 3 into the powder at 2:18!

5. She does whatever she wants. Des is one of the most independent girl shredders out there, she does her own thing and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks. She is her own brand of womens’ snowboarding, and whether she’s shaving her head, messing around, smashing a handrail or going snow-mobiling in the backcountry she’s always making a good impression.
