Despite puzzlement on why it doesn’t feature any of their amazing girl riders such as Enni Rukajärvi (who is gracing our current cover by the way!), Kelly Clark or Hannah Teter, the 13 team movie by Burton was definitely among our favourites this winter.
While you get the feeling of “done that”, “seen this” with many tricks and locations in other snowboard movie productions this year, these guys have been super creative with their parts, especially the jibbing. And Terje Hakonsen proves that he still is (and probably always will be) the Grandmaster of Snowboarding with the most beautiful and at the same time bald lines we’ve ever seen on a mountain! And that is a lot to say after winters full of watching Jeremey Jones, Xavier De Le Rue and Travis Rice getting their gnar on…
The only downside is the soundtrack that can get a bit annoying – beware of the jibsection if you got issue with heavy dubstep…
