Even Sarah herself admitted that she was a “massive pr*ck” for attempting to climb the mountain.

“I was that tit all proper climbers talk about. No ice pick/poles/shelter any of the things that are appropriate for climbing a mountain. Just the stuff I had packed for the weekend and a stupid selfie stick,” she told the Daily Mail.

Reports say temperatures had dropped to -15°C with wind chill. A rescue helicopter was unable to reach Sarah and her rescuers due to high winds and fog, so three climbers came up to get the woman from Brighton down to safety.

“I don’t know what your respective local pubs are but let me know… I’d at least like to phone through and leave a drink behind the bar, having tried and failed yesterday at the Ben Nevis. Pretty sure this is obligatory when someone saves your life, right?”

Moral of the story, people? Use your noggin and wear a coat and hiking boots. Shorts and selfie sticks aren’t gonna cut it.
