I remember the first time I stepped on my mat to practice yoga completely alone at home - without a teacher guiding me through the poses.

It's definitely beneficial to keep going to a regular yoga class - with a teacher who can adjust and help you progress your asanas (poses) - I would definitely recommend rolling your mat out at home, lighting some incense and put on some music.
