We are shocked and saddened this morning to learn that the Canadian freeskier Sarah Burke (who represents Roxy) is in a coma following a training accident in the superpipe at Park City, Utah. It was the same pipe in which Kevin Pearce had his massive fall two years ago, just before the Vancouver Olympics 2010, from which he’s only just recovered.

Earlier this year half pipe skiing was given the go ahead for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and four times X Games gold medallist Sarah Burke is seen as a strong contender for gold. We wish her a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with her friends and family at what must be an extremely difficult time.
