Our Californian road trip led us to Huntington Beach, the official Surf City USA, where we stayed at the very hip Shorebreak Hotel, caught some waves (obviously), bumped into Ed and Deanna Templeton and spent a lot of time on the famous HB pier, staring down at the ocean until it turned into an abstract work of art.
