While the world was going crazy mad for Beyonce this weekend (and this link is well funny even if you aren’t a Bey lover), we were busy polishing our Torah Bright fan club badges and liking just about every pic she posted following her rad ass superpipe win at the Dew Tour in Breckenridge, the first major contest of this all-important Winter Olympic season.
The result was especially interesting as Kelly Clark has been bossing just about every halfpipe event since the last Winter Olympics in Vancouver and some may have thought that Torah Bright‘s decision to enter the slopestyle, boardercross and halfpipe, which of course she’s the defending champ in, might have resulted in a fogging of her focus. But her winning run, which included a massiiiive McTwist, a cab 720 to backside 540 AND a frontside alley oop to backside alley oop rodeo, showed this clearly isn’t the case. And she smashed the American field which alongside Kelly Clark included Gretchen Bleiler, Elena Hight and Areille Gold on home soil and in an event which also doubles up as one of their first Winter Olympic qualifiers.

Rad week for Australia what with Mick Fanning’s ASP World Title win too.
