And we have a cool bit of cross-action sport pollination going on as epic Roxy snowboarder Robin Van Gyn (above left, obvs, credit: Phil Tifo) picks the kick ass roller derby skater Michelle Steilen (above right). She who made roller skating hip again as we remind you in the video below.

I admire people who choose their own path, complete and full uniqueness. Michelle Steilen is a roller skater from California who nailed it. She took what she loved, owned it, even though it’s not really a popular sport, she made it COOL, so freakin’ cool. She carved out her own niche in her own sport and killed it. People who are creative and just do what they love no matter what are Heroes to the rest of us who seem to care what other people think of what we say and do. Go your own way!
