Leticia Bufoni has signed for the Nike SB team. The first female skateboarder since Elissa Steamer to do so and from the photo above she appears to have signed head to toe and not just her sneaks. Leticia Bufoni posted on her facebook page that she was grateful to Volcom and Osiris for “the support over the years” but “I’m entering a new chapter in my skate career as I’m excited and honored [sic] to announce that I’m joining the Nike SB family!”.

We’re stoked for Leticia Bufoni, having been crowing about the mini-Axl Rose’s skating since um 2008, having watched this awesome part in Children of the Revolution:

The cynic in us would say it doesn’t hurt that she skates like a dude but looks like a girl (eh Men’s Health readers!) but for women’s skateboarding in general this can only be a rad development, as it will surely bring more eyes and ultimately girls into the sport.
