Laura Enever takes World Junior Championships

Roxy rider Laura Enever (AUS) 18 bagged the Billabong ASP World Junior in North Narrabeen.

If you followed the event and so the progression the 18 year surfer made during the event in her hometown, you probably weren’t surprised at her taking the titele. Ending each round with high scores she was already way in the lead when it came to the final against 16 years Alessa Quizon (HAW), whom she beat with ease.

“I just wanted to go out and have fun and that’s what I did,” Enever said. “This is my home and I’m so stoked to be here with all my friends and family giving me so much support. This is the best day of my life. It’s been my dream forever to win here at home and now that I’ve done it, I’m at a loss for words. It’s been my goal to win the World Juniors since I can remember and now that I have I just want to enjoy it,” Enever said. “I just want to have fun this season. I’ll be doing the ASP Australasia Pro Junior Series and start getting into the WQS events. The goal to qualify for the Dream Tour, but I just want to have fun this year.”

Other former World Junior Pros include the likes of Pauline Ado (FRA), Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), Nicola Atherton (AUS) and Jessi Miley-Dyer (AUS), so expect to see a lot more of this young lady in the future!
