As you’re all probably aware the festival season is well and truly in its happy camping, hay rolling, cider sipping swing…
Barcelona has already killed it with Primavera and Sonar, Glastonbury wore the festival crown high with Stevie Wonder at the Helm for a weekend of scorching sunshine, and now it’s London’s turn for East London’s favourite bite size festival; the annual Field Day in Victoria Park.
Now in its third year, the festival has grown consistently in size and prowess, boasting a line up that shuns the poppy pap on the radio and embraces a multitude of both new and established artists. This year you can expect sets from new local talent such as London based Yuck and Egyptian Hip Hop, along side performances from seminal post punkers The Fall and French masters of alt pop, Phoenix.
Alongside all the music, don’t forget this is a Village Fete we’re talking about; the Village Mentality area will be hosting classic stalls and games including Vegetable Roulette, Bowling for Bacon and the ever challenging Egg and Spoon Race.
Sound like fun – want to get involved? We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to the event on Saturday 31st July, to win simply answer this simple question:
