August might have been a bit of a disappointment in the sunshine stakes here in the UK but we’ve all got our fingers crossed for a late September heat wave to bring in the best of the dregs of summer. Yep that means the festival season ain’t over yet, as Offset, End of the Road and Bestival are all still to come on the British Isles.
First up in the diary on 4th and 5th September is Offset, the Londoner’s festival, handily located in Hainault forest, just on the end of the tube line, or if you like your wheels (like we do here at Cooler), a manageable peddle from East London. Curated by a handful of young musicians and artists the annual Essex bash prides itself on a radical and galvanising line-up. In store for you this year they’ve sorted 8 stages, 200 artists, a huge vintage clothing fair, the Victorian fun fair, village fete area, psychedelic sports day, nature treks, performance art area, craft workshops, delicious food stalls, fifties hairdressing salon and even a rare breeds farm.
Kaboom. Farm yard animals aside music highlights will be coming from These New Puritans, Mystery Jets, Caribou, Chrome Hoof, Pulled Apart By Horses, Esben and the Witch and more…
Offset are offering one lucky Cooler reader a pair of weekend tickets for the festival. To win answer the following question:
