Yes, the Vans Off the Wall Music Night is back and plans are already well underway for the full line-up for all cities. From 18 – 26 October 2010 Vans will once again create an evening of rock and punk with live performances across Germany, UK, Poland, Portugal, Spain, The Netherlands, Italy and Switzerland
It is no other than US legendary, politically charged punk Rockers Anti-Flag that will headline the majority of the dates taking place across major European Cities, with support coming from The Swellers who just stepped off the Vans Warped Tour as well as UK’s Pulled Apart By Horses.
Anti-Flag have released the following statement about their involvement in the Tour: ‘We are tremendously excited to be playing the Vans Off the Wall Music Nights. It is always exciting when you can do something that has not been done before. Especially for us, a band that has been together for over 10 years. We have a history with Vans, having been on The Vans Warped Tour 7 times, we have many friends in the company. Vans knows Anti-Flag, they know that our tours are about more than just music, we will have Peta2 and Greenpeace out at every show, disseminating their information to any one who will listen. The line-up was our idea, The Swellers are a band that we have played festivals and Warped Tours with, so its cool to finally do a real run with them. In addition to the 7 individual Anti-Flag shows, Manchester has been chosen as the key location for a multiple band and stage line-up. Growing on the successes of the 2009 event in Birmingham, expect a Slam Dunk programmed evening of music to die for. Headliners Against Me! will be topping the main stage, whilst ‘Drive Thru Records’ original pop punks Fenix TX, will be headlining the second stage. The event is housed across Academy 2 & 3 as well as Club Academy, with 15 bands set to play on one night. Expect to see the likes of Fucked Up, Dead Swans, Sylosis, Canterbury, Not Advised, Out Of Sight, Failsafe, Tek One (DJ Set) and many more acts to appear at this one off special Music Night.
