Why here?
Thought snow and tents didn’t mix? The Champ du Moulin in Venosc, with cable car access to Les 2 Alpes may change your mind.
It’s Europe’s summer snowboarding hub from early June to late August. The glacier hosts a progressive park and pipe set up where pros practice.
You can catch up with friends after a manic season, or teach at one of the many summer camps that roll through town. Plus it stays light later – the shot above was taken at 9pm at night!
What’s it like?
Venosc is further down the valley at 930m altitude. It has access to resort by a cable car 300 metres away.
Rustic but with modern facilities, the site sits in the trees on the river Veneon banks, is medium sized (69 pitches) with wooden chalets, caravans and apartments for winter. It also has a sauna and wi-fi on site.
Spot Check
Come summer, Les 2 Alpes is a freestyle mecca, making it perfect for learning new tricks. Check out their summer camps here.
