Not so much an endurance race in length, but we feel the Empire State Run Up more than earns its name from its expectations in stamina.
The run up sees 400 athletes gather in Manhattan to climb 1,576 stairs and 86 floors in 10 minutes. Wow.
A yearly tradition in America, the race is travelling overseas with the first Shard run up held in London in 2014.
If you have a spare 5 minutes this lunchtimes, have a Google for participant’s mid-race selfies. They’re fantastic.
