Right before the Easter that has more resemblance to Xmas than any other holiday in many parts of Europe, we caught up with Lipstick Production’s mistress of misschief, the infamous Ana Rumiha from Croatia
Interview by Anna Langer
You’re just back from the Lipstick trip to Georgia – what was the most memorable situation from the whole adventure?
That was probably different for each one of us. I got bitten by a wild dog, Diana got proposed to by a political activist who just got out of jail, Urska fell out the hut window on 2700m and we couldn’t find her in the snow. Basa was a superstar with people coming from other countries to see her there, Julia made friends with the whole of Georgia, photographer Sami drove a random monk to the monastery, and Andraz had to handle all of us.
You seem to have a hang for adventurous trips – is that true or do they just become adventurous because you’re on it?
It’s the Lipstick tradition to annually go on one trip to ‘The Unknown’. Getting out of our comfort zones, not knowing what to expect always results in meeting amazing people and ending up in places you’d otherwise never would have gotten to…
What was your favourite Lipstick trip so far?
Uh, I can’t name one! I loved them all and they were all so different and hard to compare.
There’s no point in changing our female mentality just to be closer to guys. Girls need to have fun and take it easier on their bodies.
How’s it different to go on a trip with just girls, compared to a mixed group?
Definitely more mellow. If we don’t feel like riding, we enjoy the sun and feel good about it. There’s no point in changing our female mentality just to be closer to guys. Girls need to have fun and take it easier on their bodies.
What’s the best bit about having just girls?
When voting whether we should hit a huge cliff or go shopping, shopping always wins.
And what’s the worst?
As I always repeat: synchronized periods so too much pms-ing at the same time…
Do you have any more trips coming up this season?
We’re just wondering around Europe at the moment and are going to release minimum two more Boobilicious episodes but the main trip we’re planning now in May is to our croatian paradise, island Hvar.
We chose this season to enjoy snowboarding to the fullest and balance between filming and just riding with friends, having fun, and no cameras.
How stoked are you about this winter & the fact it’s still snowing – at Easter?!?
This winter is pretty amazing. I’ve never ridden this much powder and filmed so little… We chose this season to enjoy snowboarding to the fullest and balance between filming and just riding with friends, having fun, and no cameras.
What are your plans for Easter, are you religious?
I’m not religious. I’ll just go to the coast for the weekend to get some sun and smell the sea before I go back to snow. I’m croatian so I have to recharge my batteries with warmer climate every now and then…
