Hey Lisa, how’s your summer been, what have you been up to?

Well, summer went by way too fast! I have spent my days at the gym, rehab on my knee! Not the most exciting thing to do, but had one week of holiday too though. Portugal surfing!!!

Surfing cool! You seem pretty into wakeboarding too these days?

Yes, I love wakeboarding ’cause its fun and it’s a great way to be active on a board during the summer. I mostly ride in cable parks which have different obstacles placed around in a small lake (rails, boxes and jumps). It’s like riding a park, but the main difference is that you are wearing a board shorts and bare arms! It’s also a cross-activity for me, and benefits my snowboarding for sure. I have learned tricks on my wakeboard, which I have transferred into snowboarding.

We saw on facebook that you renewed your season pass at Breckenridge? Why do you love it there and are there any specific places there that our readers should hit up?

Breckenridge has almost become a tradition for me. Every December it seems like all the snowboarders are heading in that direction, and I’m very excited to start the season with everyone. The main reason why I go there is that they usually have the whole park ready really early. I know that I will get some good riding in if I go there for a month. Another very attractive facility that drags a lot of riders to Breckenridge is Woodward in Copper. Woodward is filled up with trampolines, foam pits, skate ramp, dry slope, a true playground… say no more.  Being in America before Christmas means cheap shopping for a Norwegian too and I can recommend the outlets in Silverthorne! Ah, when I think about it now I get really excited, it’s like a home away from home! I can’t wait to go there.

Are you looking fwd to this season, do you have any tricks planned that you can share with us?

I’m looking forward to the season, especially since I haven’t been riding in a year because of my knee injury. So my main goal is actually just to get back on my board and feel good on it. Get my confidence and my old tricks back out there and then slowly move forward after that. I worked on the bs rodeo last year, so I guess that’s one of the next tricks I want to work more on!

What young riders are impressing you right now?

Oh, there are so many good young rippers out there at the moment. My two favourites at the moment are Aimee Fuller and Silje Norendal. Keep an eye on these chicks; they are killing it.

Where do you stand on the whole slopestyle being in the Olympics debate? We saw you supporting snowboarders unite, tell us a little about that?

I’m supporting slopestyle in the Olympics, but I’m scared that we will be run over by the FIS and IOC, that’s why I support the snowboarder unite.  They are now working to create a fair and equitable qualification system supported by the riders, nations and the global snowboard community. This is an important issue for all the athletes, their safety and the development of our sport.

Why is the new Lipstick movie so important? And which parts are you most excited to see?

The Lipstick movie is the only European all girl movie in years!!! Of course it’s important to check out the beauty of Europe! I’m excited to see the whole movie, all the girls. That’s what girls are interested in, right? Seeing other girls killing it and get motivated!!! I’m a little extra excited to watch my favourite Slovakian Basa Stevulova, she is such a rad person! Love her!

Do you have any cool trips planned this winter?

I haven’t planned it all yet. But Roxy always take us to some new cool places during the season, so Im excited to find out where we are all heading this season. Our last trip was to Argentina. Amazing!

Are there any other burning issues in snowboarding you’d like to raise?

No, except the slopestyle in the Winter Olympics issue. I think all the riders should really get involved and understand the importance of this issue, cause it’s actually about the future and the development of our favourite sport, snowboard!

Thanks Lisa and have a good time in London!

We’ll leave you with one of our favourite ever Roxy podcasts starring Lisa singing her way through the day.
