Diving
Diving
This one seems to have a very clear line.
That line is ‘please don’t dive when pregnant’
There is much proof out there that diving and the hyperbaric pressure can harm a foetus and cause complications further down the line.
A study in 1980 on women who continued to deep dive when pregnant showed cases of major cardiac anomalies, multiple hemivertebrae, absent hand, VSD, coarctation, pyloric stenosis, and severe birthmarks.
The same study showed divers who stopped for the nine months experienced none of these issues.
This one is a no-brainer. Leave it till you’ve given birth and are back in the water as one person, instead of two.
