Brits On Board: Part 2: Filming at the Fridge

Earlier this month we spread the word about the mini shred series ‘Brits On Board’ kicking off as Hannah and crew headed to film at London Freeze. Last week they hit up Hemel freestyle night to meet some of the girls who ride dome. Here’s an update from the chilly road..

Where would the UK scene be without the giant fridges of which we call snow domes?! Without the mountains and natural snow on our doorsteps (aside from in Scotland), us Brits have had to find alternative ways to get on boards. From snowplex to snowdomes, they are not to be forgotten in ‘Brits On Board’. So after a chatty start at Freeze the other week, I headed to the outskirts of the big smog to hit up The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead for their Freestyle Friday. The dome lays out plenty of features each week to attract a big  bunch of regulars and a good number of girls, including Nikita shredder, Alise Balode.

To get all the action, I invited Titus Films along for the evening to help with the filming. Not just action, it was about capturing the fun as the girls ripped up the features… and FUN they had. After a few hours in the chilly fridge we sat down with the likes of Alise Blake, Kaz Krawchuk and of course Alise, to get their thoughts on why they ride the domes and why more girls should come get involved…

Now I’ve hit the road and am heading north of the border to meet with the LASS crew and a few other adventurettes for some chat and, fingers crossed, some snow action! Aviemore here we come…

Keep following the snowy story on @NeonStash and #BoBShred. Coming soon…
