Camille De Faucompret Interview

Fresh from a 17th spot finish in the Nokia Snowboard FIS World Cup in La Molina, Spain, we grab 22-year-old French slalom snowboarder Camille De Faucompret for a chat.

Can’t get enough of… Sweeties (ha ha) and good moments.
My three suitcase essentials are… My boards, my snowboarding equipment, my ipod and laptop.
The top five tunes on my playlist are… Well that’s difficult! I love every French song from 40 years ago until today. I don’t like to listen the same music all the time.
The five people I would most like to meet… In the ‘dead’ section (!) I would say Coluche (French famous humorist) and Michel Berger and in the ‘alive’ section David Douillet (world Judo champion), Jean Claude Killy (Olympic Alpine skiing champion)…
I feel pressure… 10 minutes before the march out.
Life is hard when… I’m alone, when I’m not surrounded by my friends or my family. I’m not lonesome.
Life is good when… I win!
When times are tight… I go to see my friends. The only place I always feel good is when I snowboard…
The reason I hate… Hypocritical people… is that… well it is not pleasant!
The reason I love… Snowboarding is that I love to feel performance and speed.
My ultimate motivation is… pleasure!
My biggest fear is… to get injured.
When the day is done… it depends on the time of year. When I am in season I go to bed, when I am not I go out for some drinks…
Before I die I want to… achieve all my projects, and to go at the end of my dreams…
