The famous Eastpak Antidote tour is back from 27th October 2010 to 1st December!
Now in its 6th year, the Tour, organized by The Agency Group, is set to rock Europe to its core with a star-studded line-up featuring Canadian punk rock sensation, Sum 41, Jim Lindberg’s newest venture The Black Pacific, Texas-based rock and rollers The Riverboat Gamblers and, with a reputation that’s beginning to overtake them, the up-and-coming Veara. 27 cities in all across 13 countries will witness the aural awe of the biggest, loudest, EASTPAK Antidote Tour yet.
THE BANDS
Sum 41 will lead the bill of the 2010 EASTPAK Antidote Tour, making headline news wherever they go. Be among the first to hear the band’s upcoming album “Screaming Bloody Murder” live. Blaring out more than a mild dose of raucous punk-rock and thunderous heavy metal, it’s Sum 41 like you’ve never seen them before… and this time, no holds barred.
The Black Pacific is sure to raise both eyebrows and heartbeats amongst hard-core rockers. After 20 years with Pennywise, vocalist and songwriter Jim Lindberg has transformed the aggression and energy typical of the Californian group and sent it in a whole new experimental direction. Recruiting drummer Alan Vega and Far guitarist and producer Shaun Lopez (Deftones, Giant Drag), Lindberg’s fresh young crew have already forged a debut full-length album with Side One Dummy that is set to send shockwaves throughout the punk community.
No strangers to the punk-rock scene, The Riverboat Gamblers will also be banging out their ballsy, in-your-face sound on the EASTPAK Antidote Tour. To match vocalist Mike Wiebe’s energetic stage antics, loyal fans will be treated to an earful from the group’s latest full-length album, “Underneath the Owl”. Combining the, quote, “garage DIY scrap and brawl” of their self-titled debut album, the all-out rock of “Something to Crow About” and the self-proclaimed end of pop in “To the Confusion of Our Enemies”, the band’s latest offering is set to shake of even the hardiest of rockers!
Undoubtedly the “find” of the EASTPAK Antidote Tour, opening act Veara brings a unique breed of mosh-pop charm to the mix. Indeed, the group’s full-length album “What We Left Behind” (Runningman / Epitaph Records) has already blown the lid off the punk-rock scene with its explosive cocktail of edgy punk riffs and catchy pop tunes. All the way from Augusta, Georgia, vocalist Brad Wyrosdick, guitarist Patrick Bambrick, bassist Bryan Kerr and drummer Brittany Harrell have toured with the likes of The Maine, DangerRadio, Powerspace and most recently, A Day to Remember, perhaps the band’s most noticeable influence.
