Describe yourself: I’m a professional surfer and model, plus I help out as much as possible with my familly business -Skinners Brewery. Surfing is a huge part of my life but I also love swimming, watersking and in the winter I love to do snow sports.

Talk us through your average day…
I get up early and the first thing I do is look out the window to see what the surf is like, if its good I’ll grab some breakfast on the run and get down to the beach for a surf. Then I might have a photo shoot, most of them are surfy so I head down to the beach and ‘work’ (I cant believe its called work!) for a few hours. If it’s the weekend I would probably have a nice BBQ in the evening with some friends and my familly and then maybe just enough time for one more surf before bed.

How long have you been riding?
10 years… my dad and my brother(a professional surfer on the world tour) taught me when I was 15.

Best achievement:
Saving up a deposit and buying my own house….it’s only little but I love it!

Best trick:
Floater.

Biggest rush:
Catching a wave that I know is big and really testing my limits and making it!

Scariest moment:
I was surfing in Bali, Indonesia last year at a very remote spot with only a couple of other guys and a huge shark swam straight through the line-up… I have never paddled so hard in all my life!!

Favourite riders:
I love Joel Tudors surfing – he is the king of style. My favourite female is Belen Connelly from California, she looks like she is dancing when she surfs, shes so graceful. Also my brother, Ben Skinner, of course!

Favourite place to ride and why:
Watergate Bay, Cornwall. Such a great longboard wave. I love late evening surfs there, you can see the sun set along the coast and you can always have a chat with a friendly face.

What essential items do you pack in your suitcase for a trip? Always take loads and loads of bikinis. Spare surfboard fins and surf board repair kit. Losing a fin on the reef and trying to replace it or fix a ding in the middle of nowhere can be a nightmare!

Always in my suitcase… My huge Fat Face Beach towel – brilliant for sleeping on, changing with, picnicing on or as a pillow when travelling – I wouldn’t go without it. Also my Girlosophy book….a brilliant book that makes you feel so good every time you pick it up.

How do you stay in shape?
In the summer its pretty easy because I’m always surfing. In the winter I go to the gym and I love to dance!

Top training tip:
Get in the water as often as possible. Even if the waves aren’t that good all the paddling will keep you in great shape.

Favourite foods:
I love sushi, I eat it almost every day! Also pizza and any Italian food.

Must-have beauty product:
Spiezia Organics Daytime moisturiser – I couldnt live without it, it’s awesome!

Beauty tip… ALWAYS use suncream. Moisturise loads, I use Spiezia Organic skincare. Use a leave-in conditioner in your hair when surfing as well – it will stop it turning to straw!
