JAMIE ANDERSON CLENCHES SECOND PLACE IN THE THIRD ANNUAL ROXY CHICKEN JAM
The Third Annual Roxy Chicken Jam came to a close on Saturday, March 24, 2007 with 15 of the best women slopestyle riders battling it out in the finals. The perfect spring conditions and tough competition saw one of the youngest tour fixtures, Jamie Anderson (USA) take second place in the highly lauded slopestyle competition in Park City,
Utah.
The slopestyle division fielded a 15–woman final whose four best runs earned points toward the final TTR Champion title. After judges deliberated for an extensive amount of time, Anderson’s outrageous rail maneuvers and inventive style earned her a second place finish behind Tara Dakides (USA) and $5000 in prize money. Additionally, Anderson took second place in the overall Women’s TTR World Snowboard Championships after her season’s accumulation of points earned.
Anderson was also awarded $1,200 from Zumiez for her impressive frontside–boardside 270 on the flat rail, which she landed with ease at the base of the slopestyle course, exciting the judges and securing the days “Best Trick.”
