On May 12th the Off Axis Wakeboard Festival will take place in Munich, Germany and is shaping up to be one of highlights of the summer.
Twelve of the best riders in the world will take part in a head to head battle in front of the crowds at the Olympic Regatta course in Oberschleissheim, one of Germany’s top wakeboard locations.
In each Head to Head duel, two riders picked from a hat will fight against each other giving it their best in a 3-minute session. A panel of judges and audience voting will decide who walks away with the grand prize of $20,000.
The festival will be a day of the fastest and most incredible riding from some of wakeboarding’s finest stars: Mike Ennen, Bernhard Hinterberger and Britain’s Dan Nott and Ben Hitch. Music on the day will be supplied by The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Trashmonkeys and Cloris.
Arne Kruger, the event organiser, hopes that Off Axis will help bring further recognition to Germany as one Europe’s finest wakeboarding destinations.
