The Freeride World Tour teamed up with the North American Freeskiing Championships in Kirkwood for the 3rd stage of the 2011 competition circuit and the ladies killed it.
Starting before the men on both days of the comp, taking full advantage of the untracked faces.
Impressing most with her clean runs and nice airs was Angel Collinson (USA), who won in front of last year’s champ Janina Kuzma (NZL). Third came Rebecca Selig (USA). “I had a little bit of a lead coming in from yesterday so I didn’t want to take too many chances,” Angel stated after the event, “I wanted to take a run with a few small airs and just skied fast and fluid.”
Still these results won’t change anything about Janette Hargin (SWE – 8th in Kirkwood) leading the overall ranking, but her second win will bump Angel up in the rankings for sure and also Janina and Janette’s sister Christine Hargin (SWE) will narrow the gap on Janette’s lead.
