The Ski Club has teamed up with Henry’s Avalanche Talk (HAT), Warren Smith and Snow+Rock to run a series of talks this season. Learn about off-piste and avalanche awareness this autumn and get fit for the season with these handy events…

Avalanche!
Off-piste and avalanche awareness talks with HAT where you will learn about avalanche survival and how to avoid them in the first place! These informative talks will follow a similar format to the HAT talks in Val d’Isère and Chamonix and will include outstanding video and photo footage.

The talks are taking place at Snow+Rock stores in Kensington, Bristol and Port Solent, GJs bar in Wandsworth and Ride Snow shop in Poole. At the talks in Poole there will also be the chance to take part in practical avalanche transceiver searches on Sandbanks beach.

Fitness and biomechanics talks with Warren Smith.

The off-piste and avalanche awareness talks at Snow+Rock are complemented by two talks at Kensington Snow+Rock and the Chill Factore store in Manchester with professional free-skier Warren Smith. He will be give an insight into ski biomechanics and fitness with the help of chartered physiotherapist Lucy McDonald from BodyFactor.
