The Butterfly Effect is a non competitive sports event, encouraging girls and women of all ages to get out in the ocean, on the hill and on their boards and follow their passion – no matter skills, experience or ages.
In it’s fifth year now, the event comes back to the beaches of Cabarete in the Caribbean on July 28-30th, to complete a 4km downwind ride from Cabarete Bay to Playa Encuentro. All girls, locals or visitors can participate and windsurf, kite surf, kayak or stand-up paddle. The event includes safety and stretching sessions, as well as food and gear from local sponsors, and fund-raising for local charities.
Giving back
Fundraising efforts associated with the Butterfly Effect will go to the DREAM Project. The Dominican Republic Education And Mentoring (DREAM) Project is a US 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides quality education for all children born into poverty in rural areas and small communities of the Dominican Republic. Our butterflies will participate with some of the DREAM Project kids in a group beach cleanup within Cabarete Bay.
