Due to massive response, X in the City decided to move the event from October 2010 to April 2011 to be able to include everyone who wants to participate and make the venue even larger than ever expected.
The decision was made based on the overwhelming response for inclusion in the event by sports businesses, associations, athletes and brands. This increase in the number of action sports involved and the massive growth of the zones and infrastructure added extra complexity to delivery, on a much larger scale than originally planned.
As the show profile kept increasing the organisers wanted to find a way to include all the additional attractions and sports which they had been presented within the format, in order to create a unique visitor experience.
All tickets sold to date for the event will be refunded and to say thanks for the support, all people who had booked will get complimentary entry to X in the City next April. The refund process will be handled by the X in the City Box Office Partner ‘The Ticket Factory’. The Box Office has been closed temporarily while this is put into place.
