The Cornwall Film Festival will be taking to screens from 6th – 9th November 2008. This annual festival is dedicated to showcasing Cornish filmmaking and helping budding filmmakers from the South West to air their talents to the film industry. The festival offers local and national premieres, master-classes, workshops, discussions and networking events for everyone from the enthusiast to the professional.
South West feature premieres this year include Terence Davies’ ‘Of Time and the City’ introduced by Mark Kermode; Fernando Meirelles’ (City of God, The Constant Gardner) ‘Blindness’ with an introduction by executive producer Simon Channing-Williams; and Mark Tonderai’s ‘Hush’ with introduction by director Mark Tonderai and producer Zoe Stewart.
After getting suitably square-eyed, you can join in the fun with workshops on skate filmmaking, how to get music clearance for movies and writing for screen. Check out the full schedule here!
