The unique festival mixing culture, surf, art and music is coming back to the legendary Cote des Basques beach, cradle of European surfing, in Biarritz, France, between July 13th-17th.
Once again, the World Longboard Championships will attract the best surfer girls and noseriders of the world, among them Californians Kassia Meador, Jennifer Smith, and Kelia Moniz, as well as French virtuosos Coline Menard and Justine Dupont. For the the first time, the Title will be fought over two legs, the first in Biarritz during the Roxy Jam. Also new for the 2011 edition is a qualifier on July 13th, to find four wildcards for the main event.
But there is a lot more at offer for spectators. Next to fee surf lessons (inscription on the event site), there is an art exhibition dedicated to “California”, the home of the brand, and a live concerts by The Sounds and Lilly Wood & The Prick.
