The Eastpak Gallery in London’s Westend prepared another gem for all art lovers among you: COLOUR IS SPARSE – the first major exhibition by Nicky Valsamakis from Friday 8th July until Tuesday 6th September 2011.

South African born Nicky Valsamakis relocated to the UK in September 2000, and has been developing her distinctively energetic line work and interest in art, design and extreme sports ever since.

Colour Is Sparse is Nicky Valsamakis’ first solo exhibition. Works featured include laser etching on wood and screen-printed cardboard, amongst drawings and sketches, demonstrating an appreciation for the variations of media and techniques. Colour may be sparse, but variety and finesse is present in abundance.
