Last weekend it was time for the “Oscars” of big wave surfing again, the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards 2011. Next to some breath taking stunts from the male surfers, it was Hawaii’s Keala Kenelly who was able to break the four-in-a-row stranglehold of the Girls Performance of the Year Award by Brazilian Maya Gabeira.
