New Burton Women Learn to Ride Schedule

Burton Snowboards announces its third annual Burton Women’s Learn To Ride (WLTR) Camp schedule for 2006/07. Women’s Learn To Ride Camps are women-only snowboard weekends where ladies can learn to snowboard or improve their skills in an environment geared toward women. The three-day weekends include the finest instruction, goodie bags, a special event to benefit Boarding for Breast Cancer and of course, the riding experience of a lifetime.

Whether it’s embracing your inner snowboarder for the first time or progressing existing skills, women of all abilities will partake in two days of lessons with top female riders and instructors. First-timers will use Burton’s own specialized women’s Learn To Ride equipment, and experienced riders can choose to use their own equipment or demo Burton’s newest line of hardgoods. The third and final day of camp will be a freeride day with fellow campers.

“As a company of snowboarders with a full and comprehensive equipment line dedicated to women, we can offer women riders what no other company can,” said Donna Carpenter, head of Burton’s Women’s Initiative and founder Jake Burton’s wife. “Our Women’s Learn To Ride Camps give campers a chance to let their hair down, have fun and gain confidence they haven’t had on snow before. We look forward to this year’s camps being an even bigger success.”
