RIP CURL GIRLS TOUR ATTRACTS OVER 200 GIRLS AT FIRST STOP OF EUROPEAN TOUR

Rip Curl kicked off its European Girls Tour at the Lemon Quay Winter Park in Truro, Cornwall, last weekend and attracted over 200 girls with free lessons for beginners and intermediates.

Girls of all ages from all over the county booked hour-long lessons with top tips from Rip Curl riders and qualified instructors during the weekend and also received a free Rip Curl Goodie bag for getting involved. Rip Curl believe the success of this event comes from the winning combination of providing quality tuition with a great atmosphere giving Girls the perfect opportunity to get involved and have a go at learning to freestyle or to simply take to the slope for the first time. Most Girls who attended the free Girls tour weekend had already booked a skiing or snowboarding holiday later this winter and found this a fantastic way to give them some experience before hitting the slopes.

Following Truro, the tour will stop in 11 other locations throughout Europe, with an official Rip Curl Girls Winter Tour Party being held at each venue.

Truro’s MI bar hosted the Girls Tour party on Saturday night which saw a live broadcast from Cornwall’s leading new radio station Atlantic FM. Atlantic DJ gave away free a Rip Curl snowboard to one lucky listener during the shows 2 hour live broadcast from the slop bar.

The next stop on the Rip Curl Girls Tour will be this coming weekend – 16th & 17th Dec at Milton Keynes with Top Rip Curl rider Alexandra Barrere from France and UK # 1 World Cup halfpipe Freeski champion Shelley Jones giving top freestyle tip’s to girls of all ages.

There will also be Apo Snowboards, Armada Skis and Davidoff Cool Water perfume up for grabs in the Eco Rider quizz.

The Milton Keynes party will take place in the SNO!zone slope bar on Saturday 16th with live music from Voodoo Hussey and a selection of DJ’s.

The event is open to any age group and all girls booking beginner or freestyle lessons on the Rip Curl Girls Tour will receive a free goodie bag worth over £35.00

The event is free although sessions at Milton Keynes will incur a £15.00 (half price) slope fee for 2 hours with all lessons and tuition from Rip Curl riders absolutely free!
